Faith is the theological virtue by which we believe in God and everything He has told us and revealed, and that Holy Church proposes to us, because He is truth itself. By faith "man freely and entire surrender to God." So the believer is striving to know and do God's will. "The just shall live by faith." The living faith "working through love." The act of faith is the assent of the mind to what God has revealed. An act of faith requires supernatural grace. It is under the influence of which will require the help of grace. If the act of faith is in a state of grace, is worthy before God. Explicit acts of faith are needed, for example, when the virtue of faith is being tested by temptation, or when our faith is challenged or when we have worldly attitudes contrary to the faith. These situations do not undermine our faith if we resorted to an act of faith. An example of an act of faith: "My God, I believe in you and everything that we teach in your church because you said you have your word is true." The act of faith is not always verbalizes. In many situations we do and is always present in our hearts. In the Gospels, faith is developed with the revelation of God's kingdom, whose foundation is Jesus himself. This reveals the doctrine of the Kingdom as a person who has authority and confirmed by miracles. But Christ makes it clear that we need the grace of the Father to have this faith in Him That correspondence and grace of faith in Jesus as Messiah, is fully reflected in the confession of St. Peter. The centurion's faith is seen by Jesus himself as great, precisely because it knew the centurion that it was revealed that the authority of, and only had to hear the word of authority for believing firmly in its outcome: "But just say a word and my servant will be healthy. " The model of faith is the Virgin Mary: cree it away and let God work, according to his word, Isabel tells "Blessed to have believed in the word of your Lord."
